California Employment Development Department

Department of Fair Employment and Housing (California)

California state agency charged with protecting the people of California from unlawful discrimination in employment, housing, and public accommodations, as well as from the perpetration of acts of hate violence.



Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (Federal)

Federal agency charged with enforcing federal laws requiring equal opportunity and prohibiting discrimination in employment.



National Labor Relations Board

The NLRB is an independent Federal agency created in 1935 to enforce the National Labor Relations Act. It investigates unfair labor practices by employers and unions.



California Division of Labor Standards Enforcement (Labor Commissioner)

The Division of Labor Standards Enforcement provides a wide variety of services to the public, from wage claim adjudication and discrimination complaint investigations to enforcement of California's labor laws and Industrial Welfare Commission orders.



Cal OSHA Division of Occupational Safety and Health

Occupational Health and Safety Administration (Federal)

The mission of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration is to prevent injuries and protect the health of America's workers by enforcing the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970.
